On 27th June 2020, delegates from the team of the IHRC Volunteers from Africa Regions Cameroon and Chad, paid a visit to the Prominent Organizations. The first visit was at YAPCEC (Youths Advocate for Peace and Community Empowerment Cameroon) – 10:00am, where they were opportuned to have a discussion with the founder, Mr Bochum Samuel. This discussion was based on bilateral exchange between the two teams.the main mission of this organization is to empower Youths for self development and has as vision to advocate for peace, building non-violent conflict management etc, and the Organization has gained recognition from several countries and International Organizations, and has been in active fight against the novel Corona Virus.

The second meeting was with the “Transcending Organization” at 1:00pm based on a Sensitization Workshop on Rape and Juvenile Delinquency. Participants unanimously agreed on the prevalence of rape in our country, and identified causes such as lack of sex education, revenge, indecency, “No” myth, male dominance, lack of self control. There were other Organizations represented at this Workshop: TEENALIVE AND Hope for a Better Tomorrow.


The Founder of Hope for a Better Tomorrow, Miss Tembeng Elian gave us an insight about the causes and consequences of rape and possible reasons to avoid such situations.
In the workshop, there were survivors of rape incidences who shared their experiences.
The founder of TEENALIVE handle the aspect of juvenile delinquency, and identified causes such as lack of social education at homes, instability in families among others.These have exposed children to social delinquency in our today societies.Reported:
